Pat is the president of Meeting IQ and Managing Director of China Connect within the USA.

She is proud of her impact and influence within the Hospitality Industry and her global competency in international meetings and events.

Her honors include being named the first recipient of Destination Management Professional of the Year by ADME International, twice named One of the 25 Most Influential People in the Meetings Industry by Meeting News magazine, selected by Successful Meetings magazine as One of the Magnificent 12 in the Hospitality Industry and was most recently named as One of the 25 Most Influential Women in Business by the St. Louis Business Journal.  Pat was also selected as Meeting Professional of the Year by MPI-St. Louis Chapter and Event Professional of the Year by ISES-Missouri Chapter.

Pat is past president of Meeting Professionals International (MPI), St. Louis Chapter, Founder and Past President of ISES-Missouri Chapter and Past President of the Association of Destination Management Executives International (ADME).

patsbook2Pat is the author of the first and only book written on destination management, “The Guide to Successful Destination Management” and is a contributing editor to the CIC Manual.

She is an adjunct Professor at 4 universities and sits on the Hospitality and Sports Management Board at University of Missouri in Columbia and the Hospitality Board of St. Louis Community College.

Marissa Wolfard, CMP

Marissa has been in the meeting and event industry for over 15 years with experience in meeting and event management, team building and training, and mobile marketing.  Her onsite knowledge has been built on a vast array of meetings and events including the Motorola 300, Camp Jeep, the PGA Tour, Rockwell Automation, and Global CISCO Telepresence seminars.

She has successfully managed three mobile marketing programs including CISCO’s Network on Wheels program, Monsanto’s Mobile Technology Unit, and Ethicon’s mobile tour, a Johnson and Johnson company.

She has assisted in the creation and implementation of numerous projects with such clients including CitiBank, John Deere, Schnucks, Medicine Shoppe, FIAT, Maritz and Solutia.

In addition to Marissa’s Director of Meetings position, she is also the director of the new association, International Medical Meeting Professionals Association (IMMPA) which is tailored to the medical and pharmaceutical community.  Our objective is to provide conformity of medical meeting professional’s education, training, certification and networking.

Marissa was one of the youngest to receive the CMP Certification in 2006.

Henry Ou

Henry Ou has been in Travel industry for almost twenty years. He is the president of Air & Sea Travel Center, a Hawaii based company which is specialized in handling both Inbound and Outbound groups to and from China. Air & Sea Travel Center is also one of the first US travel company to set up branch office in China and granted Authorized Travel Agency status in receiving Chinese tourists to US. This branch office is also operating as an Inbound division of China International Travel Service, China’s largest travel company.

Henry has developed a wide range of connection in China over the years and also builds up a very efficient team of staffs to provide any MICE related service. In 2008, his team successfully arranged over 4000 performers from USA and Canada to attend pre-Olympic events in Beijing.

Recently, Henry has joined together with China Connect to approach this fast growing MICE market in China.
